Thanks 2025!
Looking back and looking forward to 2026
At the end of 2025, I’d love to say a big thank you for journeying with me this year. I’ve loved crafting words to speak at events, churches and festivals; working with J.John researching for Facing The Canon and working on his book ‘Walking With God’; and collaborating with others on creative projects that spread love, light and hope.
One of many highlights this year was sharing a spoken word piece at the Whitehall Easter Service hosted by Christians in Government. It was great to be in the room with incredible people working for good right at the heart of Westminster and to be asked to bring some creativity to the event. Always a treat to arrive somewhere and find that friends are involved too!
It’s been great to see Walking With God - 40 Daily Reflections out there in the world. I wrote a prayer to accompany each of J.John’s daily reflections as he takes us on a 40 day journey learning the best way to walk with God on the road of life. You can find it here. I’ve spent time working on another of his books that’s due to come out in 2026 - I’ll let you know when it’s due to be released.
It was a real highlight for Andy and I to have a joint piece displayed in a local exhibition in the Amelia Scott Centre in Tunbridge Wells in Spring this year. We submitted my poem ‘Free’ alongside one of Andy’s beautifully captured photos. Here we are on opening night of the exhibition. It felt significant for us as a nod towards our dream of releasing a book together of Andy’s photographs from his collection over decades and my poems. Here’s hoping 2026 is the year we’ll see this dream become reality!
I’ll be starting 2026 with a whole new set of guests to research for their interviews with J.John on Facing The Canon. You can catch up on all the interviews with a whole range of fascinating guests here. I’ll also be concentrating on preparing to speak at churches on Sundays and looking forward to getting creative around all things Easter.
Let me leave you with this. I heard this year from The Faith-Filled Therapist that our brains find it impossible to worry and be thankful at the same time. What a thought! So for those of us who might have a tendency to be concerned about any unknowns as we embark on 2026, let’s choose to bring to mind things we’re thankful for and let that take the place of those worries.
“Neuroscience and Scripture agree; thanksgiving benefits the brain”.

With much love for a peaceful, creative new year,
